Soy-based synthroid soy protein could help prevent Alzheimer’s and stroke, scientists say

Soy proteins are used in a range of foods and supplements around the world.

But scientists in the United States say they’ve found that soy protein supplements may be able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other forms of dementia.

So far, there’s no proven treatment for the condition, but it’s thought to be particularly common among people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s.

Soy is also a major food source for people who suffer from diabetes.

In one study, researchers at the University of California, Davis, found that people who took supplements containing soy protein for six months had an average decrease in the number of blood sugar spikes during the study.

A previous study found that taking a soy-based supplement for six weeks reduced the risk for developing type 2 diabetes in people over age 60.
